HAIR TRANSPLANT COMBO

use smp with your transplant

BOOST YOUR TRANSPLANT

WITH SMP

Get the best of both worlds. Real hair with virtually limitless density at your disposal, no matter how much donor hair you have.

As well as hiding general baldness and thinning, we use our Scalp Micropigmentation technique to cover scars created by hair restoration surgery. This includes linear scars found at the back and side of the head following a FUT procedure, as well as dotted FUE scars. There is, however, another way that Scalp Micropigmentation can work with your hair transplant – as a pre-planned combination procedure.

The hair transplant surgery option does have its merits, and many people like the feel of real hair on their scalps. By combining traditional hair restoration techniques and our highly advanced Scalp Micropigmentation process, you will benefit from the best of both worlds regardless if you are looking for hair restoration for individuals with alopecia, or just for regular women or men. Real hair with real texture, with the illusion of thickness and fullness that only Scalp Micropigmentation can provide.

Which Comes First?
In most cases your hair transplant procedure should be completed first, however this is not always the case. Quite often, your hair transplant can be carried out retrospectively.

3. First Hairline Fill

4. Second Filling & Texture

6. Result

Scalp Micropigmentation works well for both men and women of any ethnicity. At Black and white by DY every procedure is thoroughly tailored. Our Micropigmentation practitioners determine the appropriate pigment and technique that works best for each specific case. The average scalp needs roughly 2,000 microdots per square inch. The pain level is approximate to getting a tattoo; however, 90% of clients reports minimum to no discomfort during the procedure. Black and white by DY wants to make sure that you have an enjoyable experience.

HOW CAN SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION

help your transplant?

The greatest challenge facing your surgeon is making the best use of the density you have remaining. Remember that during either procedure (particularly FUE), much density is lost within the first few months, hence why it can take up to a year to really enjoy the full benefit of a hair transplant. With scalp micropigmentation at your disposal however, in most cases, the amount of donor’s hair you have available needn’t be a problem anymore.

Ongoing Maintenance

The length at which you can keep your hair when both procedures are complete is directly affected by the density of your real hair and transplanted hair combined. That doesn’t mean you have to shave it like many SMP clients do. We can discuss your requirements with you to work out the best approach for your scalp micropigmentation. Please contact us to talk through your options in more detail.
