SCAR Camouflage

Micro needling and scar camouflage can reduce the appearance of scars. However, it is important to understand that scars are long-lasting and every scar is different: body location, size, shape, color, appearance of depth, and so on. Some scars require only a single treatment, others take multiple treatments. Results are cumulative and may take four to six weeks to fully develop.Medical tattooing can successfully improve the appearance scars.

Scar relaxation is accomplished using a technique called micro needling. Micro needling creates microscopic punctures in the scar tissue. This stimulates collagen production and helps blood capillaries reach the surface. The result is improved skin tone (color), smoothed texture and a reduction of the three-dimensional appearance of the scar.

Scar camouflage is similar to scar relaxation except that we add pigments matched to your particular skin to make the scar color blend with the surrounding skin. We also use specialized techniques to further mask the scar’s appearance. Normal skin, if viewed very closely, is not all one uniform color. Pixelation and pointillism techniques are used in order to create the appearance of a skin’s natural color patterns.

During scar camouflage procedure pigments (selected according to your natural skin tone) are deposited into the upper reticular layer of the dermis. A touch up might be needed, depending on the individual level of pigment retention.

Nipple tattooing is the introduction of a color pigment under the skin of the breast areola. Often, the beautiful half of humanity is unhappy with the areola’s incorrect color and shape. The nipples areola may be too small or too large; pale, merging with the color of the breast color areola; blurred or uneven outlines of the areola, etc.

A frequent reason for applying for such a service is the desire to improve the appearance of the breast:

Asymmetrical areola.
Scars in the nipple area.
Color fading areola.
Thanks to the nipple tattoo, you can visually lift the breast.
Nipple repair and scar camouflage after aesthetic mammoplasty (the procedure can be performed not earlier than 12-14 months after the operation, after the complete recovery of the tissues).
Restoration of the areolar complex after mastectomy
The presence of vitiligo in the area of the nipple areola
Insufficient intensity of the color of the areola of the nipple and uneven borders, large or small size of the areola

For all these cases areola dermapigmentation is the perfect solution! Beautiful areola will make any breast even more beautiful. Many clients want their areola to match their new breast. You’ll discuss your vision with your artist during your pre-treatment consultation. During the treatment, the tattoo artist will measure and outline the nipple area. Be aware that certain products—such as those containing aloe vera, Retin A or glycolic acid—can cause the tattoo to fade more quickly. In fact, the pigment will fade by about 50 percent after the first week of treatment and may require a touch-up yearly—especially if you are fair skinned.

Areola dermapigmentation is a safe and minimally painful procedure, performed under topical anesthesia. As a rule, several shades of pigment are used. Pigments for areolas are usually represented by a natural range of colors: natural pink, pink-brown, beige-brown, pinkish-red and pink-beige shades. The pigment is chosen according to the natural color of areola. We strive to re-create the desired color and look of a natural areola. The areola tattooing procedure should be performed no earlier than one year after the operation, when the tissues are finally restored.

Postmastectomy areola reconstruction is a final step towards “ acceptance and healing” after breast reconstruction. Breast cancer survivors find cosmetic areola reconstruction beneficial in helping them feel whole again. This is finishing touch to breast reconstruction. In cases when a new nipple areola needs to be matched to the existing breast, various colors and shades are used to achieve themes natural results. For bilateral reconstructions, preoperative photos can be used to recreate the nipple color, or a new colors matched according to the skin tone. Getting just the right shade of color may require more than one tattoo procedure.
